BACKGROUND
There has always existed a calling for volunteers who could serve those in need and assist others during times of distress.
In 2006, a small group of retired, active and reserve Marines got together in Huntsville, Alabama to formulate a plan to better serve their local community and the North Alabama region. These veterans had a deep desire to continue their patriotic efforts after having honorably served the nation in the military. Their combined time and talents provide the Tennessee Valley with an extraordinary level of knowledge, expertise, and commitment for productive effort.
The Semper Fi Community Task Force (SFCTF), is an organization composed of Marines, their families, and friends who have come together to continue to apply the core values of courage, honor, and commitment to the service and growth of our community through volunteerism. We believe that the skills, leadership, esprit de Corps, and resourcefulness that the Marine Corps instills are a lifelong trust. We choose to extend them to our community and fellow citizens so that all can continue to enjoy the freedoms, liberty and quality of life that we Americans hold dear.
